Follow Up Boss Pixel

Integrating Mailchimp with Zapier is ideal for agents and teams who want more control over the contacts that are sent to Mailchimp. To achieve this integration, two zaps will need to be created. The first zap will send existing Follow Up Boss contacts to Mailchimp, and the second will automatically add new Follow Up Boss contacts to Mailchimp.

1. Sending Existing Contacts to Mailchimp

If you have a large number of contacts in your FUB account, we recommend skipping step one. In place of this step, you will want to export your FUB contacts and import the file to Mailchimp.

Before creating the Zap

To be successful in creating the zap, there are a couple of steps that need to be taken first.

1. Decide on a Specific Tag that you would like to use to send your contacts to Mailchimp. This should be a new tag.

2. Once you have decided on the tag name, log in to FUB and Add the Tag to One Contact, which has a first and last name and a valid email address (that you want to send to Mailchimp).

3. Confirm or Create an Audience in Mailchimp. This will be the audience that FUB contacts are sent to.

Creating the Zap

1. Log In to your Zapier Account

2. Click + Create > Zaps > Trigger > Follow Up Boss

3. For Event, choose Tag Added to Contact > Continue

4. Select your FUB Account (connect with API key if needed) > Continue

5. Add a Specific Tag Name > Continue

6. Test Trigger > Continue with Selected Record

7. Action > Mailchimp

8. Add Event > Add/Update Subscriber > Continue

9. Select Mailchimp Account/Sign in to Mailchimp Account > Continue

10. Choose the desired Audience

11. For Subscriber Email, select Primary Email

12. For Status, select Subscribed

13. Map First Name and Last Name along with any additional fields (optional) > Continue

14. Test Step. Once complete, the contact should show within Mailchimp.

15. Publish

Adding the Tag to FUB Contacts

1. Log In to Follow Up Boss

2. Filter to the Desired Contacts (recommend filtering to email is good) and Mass Apply the specific Tag used in the zap to send the contacts to Mailchimp. The tag cannot be previously added to contacts as it is used as a trigger to send the contacts to Mailchimp.

Note: Sending contacts to Mailchimp will take some time depending on the size of your database.

2. Sending New Contacts to Mailchimp

With existing FUB contacts being sent to Mailchimp, we need a way to make sure new contacts flow into Mailchimp with ease, so we don't need to add the tag to new contacts.
