Zillow is evolving how you receive and manage connections — bringing them directly into Follow Up Boss so you can respond faster, reduce interruptions, and manage your workflow in one place.
This experience applies to property-related connections, such as Contact Agent, Standard Tour, and Real-Time Touring. Through this experience:
- Connections arrive via push notification and SMS
- Claim and manage connections directly in Follow Up Boss
- Connect with buyers on their terms — whether that’s right away, at a scheduled time, or via text
1. Enable Settings
- Zillow two way integration: To have access to RTT connections in FUB, the Team Lead needs to complete the Zillow two way integration.
- Link your Zillow agent profile to FUB: Each agent must link their Zillow profile to Follow Up Boss within their FUB account.
- Enable Zillow lead alerts: Turn on Zillow Lead Alerts on the Follow Up Boss iPhone and Android app. With Zillow Lead Alerts enabled, you will receive time-sensitive notifications for iOS and alarms/reminders and bypass DND for Android.

2. Push notifications settings
Zillow connections in FUB are delivered via FUB mobile app push and SMS notifications, which make it more important to have your phone set up correctly so you don’t miss them.
Note: SMS notifications are sent from (855) 672-9077.
- Ensure you have the latest version of the FUB Android/iPhone app (v6.05.0400 or newer) - we suggest having your automatic app updates turned on to ensure get the newest version automatically
- Keep your FUB Push Notifications enabled. Check the chart below for how your phone’s settings impact the Zillow Connections in FUB notifications.
- To have access to the time-sensitive push notifications feature, ensure your phone’s operating system is on these versions or above: iOS 15+ or Android 13+ (API level 33)

3. Real Time Touring connections in FUB
You will receive Real-Time Touring connections via FUB mobile push notifications and SMS. You have 2 minutes to open.
Once you open the notification, you will be able to see the details for the Real-Time Touring request, and have the same 5 minutes to review and claim the connection.
Once confirmed, you’ll get a confirmation message* with additional details, and a way to send a Zillow Message or view the contact profile page.
*This may also display as “Tour Requested” or “We can’t auto-book the tour”.
In Follow Up Boss, team leads or admins can set up a team-wide introduction message to automatically send for Real-Time Touring connections. Learn more here.
4. Standard Tour and Contact Agent connections in FUB
You will receive Contact Agent and Standard Tour connections via FUB mobile push notifications and SMS. You have 2 minutes to open.
Once you open the notification, you will be able to see the details for the tour request or property inquiry and have 5 minutes to review and claim the connection.
Message-first
- Under the Contact Method and timing section of the screen you will be able to see what method the buyer selected. For buyers who have selected to be contacted via message instead of a phone call, you will see Zillow Message as the method in blue, and Immediately as the timing for that outreach.
- And under Property information you will be able to identify if this was a Property inquiry (when a customer selects Contact Agent on a property on Zillow), or an In-person Tour request (when the buyer selects Tour on a property on Zillow).
- Once you click on Claim you’ll be directed to send them a message through Zillow Messages.
Scheduled calls
- When buyers have selected a specific day and time to be called, under Contact Method and timing section of the screen you will see Phone call as the method highlighted in blue, and the day and time right underneath it.
- And under Property information you will be able to identify if this was a Property inquiry (when a customer selects Contact Agent on a property on Zillow), or an In-person Tour request (when the buyer selects Tour on a property on Zillow).
- Once you click on Claim you’ll be directed to send them a message through Zillow Messages.
- This appointment is automatically added to your FUB calendar so you can call them at the right day and time. But you can also start the conversation via Zillow Messages.
5. Communicating via Zillow Messages
When you reply to buyers via Zillow Messages, they receive your messages on their Zillow app and also a text notification. They are greeted by an introduction card highlighting your profile, reviews, and the key role you play in guiding them through the home-buying journey.
They’ll also see a reminder to use Zillow Messages to easily connect with you along the way.

- A: When the time expires, you will receive a push notification about the missed lead. The lead will be routed to the next agent on your team based on your team's distribution rules.

A: If the time expires before you confirm your availability, a pop-up message will appear on the screen notifying you that the time window has expired.

Q: Does declining an RTT connection count against me?

A: No, declining connections in FUB doesn't count against you. If you're unavailable, declining is the right action — it allows the buyer to be connected to another agent who can help them. Zillow does expect agents to engage with connections in line with the law and our Good Neighbor and Conduct Policy.
