Overview
Zillow Pro membership customers have access to My Agent - Send Invite, which automatically identifies the sphere contacts in your pipeline who are most likely to accept a My Agent invite — and surfaces them so you can act at the right moment.
For the contacts that have been identified as the highest likelihood to accept, Zillow Pro now sends the My Agent invite on your behalf automatically. And the invite is delivered directly on their Zillow app (no SMS or email needed), removing one step to accept, and making it more relevant and contextual for them
The remaining ones stay flagged with the zillow-my-agent-send-invite tag so you can review and send the invite yourself.
My Agent invites sent within the first 3 days since the last interaction are ~2X more likely to be accepted than invites sent after 3 days, on average.* Acting quickly on these opportunities significantly increases your chances of establishing a My Agent relationship.
What triggers the tag
Zillow Pro evaluates every contact in your pipeline against the following engagement signals. When any one signal qualifies, the tag is applied automatically.
- 5+ incoming communications: The contact has sent 5 or more emails, texts, or calls
- Appointment or Showing stage: The contact's pipeline stage is Appointment or Showing
- Sphere or Referral contact: The contact has a Sphere or Referral relationship tag
- IDX save: The contact has saved a listing or search
What happens when the tag fires
Once the zillow-my-agent-send-invite tag is applied, FUB automatically:
- Adds a task: assigned to you with a due date, prompting you to send the invite
- Logs a note: added to the contact's profile page with context on why they were flagged
- Sends a notification email: delivered to you as the assigned agent
- Surfaces the contact in your My Agent Opportunity Smart List: a FUB Smart List that consolidates all flagged contacts in one place
How to find your flagged contacts
- Open FUB and navigate to People tab and open a lead profile page
- You will be able to find the zillow-my-agent-send-invite tag on the left section of the page, you will also see a note on the timeline and you will receive an email notification for a task that has been created for you to send a My Agent invite to this contact.
- You can also find these tagged customers on your My Agent Opportunity Smart List
When Zillow Pro sends the invite for you
For the subset of flagged contacts with the highest probability of accepting your My Agent invite. The differences are that instead of looking for contacts with 5+ communications, we look for a bi-drectional communication (agent and buyer talk via message or call), who are in an active stages, and contacts we can match to a Zillow account.
For those contacts, Zillow sends the My Agent invite on your behalf, automatically. When this happens:
- The invite is delivered directly in the contact's Zillow app or on desktop, appearing as a full-screen prompt the next time they open Zillow and staying pending in their Zillow Messages inbox (on desktop) until they accept or it expires. This is different from a manual invite, which the contact receives by text or email.
- These contacts are no longer tagged with zillow-my-agent-send-invite, since the invite has already been sent on your behalf.
You can still follow up — send a reminder or message the contact as usual.
Contacts flagged as likely to accept who didn’t receive the auto invite keep the tag so you can review and send the invite manually.
FAQs
-
Who can access this feature in FUB?
- This feature is exclusively available for customers with a Zillow Pro subscription.
-
How does Zillow determine if a contact is likely to accept a My Agent invite?
- Zillow identifies customers more likely to accept a My Agent invite by looking for recent engagement and relationship signals like number of incoming lead communications, being in appointment or showing stage, being a sphere or referral connections, or saved IDX searches.
- The model will only flag sphere contacts who are categorized as high or moderate addressable contacts in the agents’ database, who match the qualifying signals of similar buyers who accepted My Agent invites.
-
Will the tag be removed if my contact does not accept my invite after a few days?
- The tag will be removed after 14 days from when it was tagged.
-
Can I remove the tag if I have talked to that contact outside of FUB and know they won’t accept the invite?
- Yes, you can manually remove the tag from the Person detail page.
-
What happens to the tag if the connection is reassigned to another agent on the team?
- The tag will be removed from the contact 14 days after the contact is tagged, regardless if it’s transferred to another agent.
-
How can I differentiate which leads have this tag from the My Agent Opportunity Smart List?
- You can click on the contact and open their lead profile page to see if they have the tag.
-
Which contacts get an invite sent automatically, and which stay tagged?
- We send the invite automatically only for your most active sphere contacts that we can match to a Zillow account, and who are determined to be most likely to accept based on consistent signals from buyers who accepted invites. All other flagged contacts keep the zillow-my-agent-send-invite tag so you can review and send a manual invite.
-
Can I customize the auto invite?
- No, the auto invite is exactly the same as the invite you send manually.
-
Why are these invites delivered in the Zillow app instead of by text or email?
- Because we can match these contacts to a Zillow account, we deliver your invite directly in their Zillow experience, making it more relevant and contextual — and removing the friction of them having to open a text or email.
-
Do the Automatic invitations count against the agents 30 My Agent Invite sends in a 24 hour period?
- No, the invites sent by Zillow do not count against the 30 invites per day limit.
-
Can I opt-out of having My Agent invites automatically sent on my behalf?
- Yes, if you don't want My Agent invites to be automatically sent on your behalf and delivered directly on your consumer's Zillow app, your team lead can submit an opt-out request using this form. This feature needs to be turned off for the entire team. If the team decides to turn it back on, you can submit the same form selecting the option to opt back in to have this feature enabled for your team.
