Define Your Stages
Define your stages so you know exactly where each contact fits in your pipeline. If you don’t have definitions in mind, here is a great start.
| Stage | Definition |
|---|---|
| Lead | Not spoken to yet and not categorized (default stage for new people) |
| Attempted Contact | A lead you're working to contact through phone calls, text, and email |
| Spoke with Customer | A customer you're speaking with but haven't had a chance to meet |
| Appointment Set | An appointment has been scheduled with the buyer or seller to meet in-person or virtually |
| Met with Customer | A customer that you've met either in-person or virtually for a first appointment or tour |
| Showing Homes | A customer you're helping tour listings in-person or virtually over multiple appointments |
| Listing Agreement | A listing agreement is in place for you to list your seller's home |
| Active Listing | A client who has their home on the market and available for showings |
| Submitting Offers | A written offer has been submitted for a property on behalf of your client |
| Under Contract | Offer accepted |
| Nurture | Apply this status for contacts who aren't ready to tour homes yet or have slowed their search |
| Rejected | Not interested / lead rejected |
| Closed | Closed deal or post-closing |
| Trash | No longer working with |
Keep Your Contacts' Stage Updated
Your follow-ups will be more efficient and more targeted when you keep your contacts' stages updated. You can see and change someone's stage from the lead profile.
To change more than one person's stage at a time, use mass actions.

- Use tags on top of stages to group contacts. Buyer, Seller, Renter, etc. make great tags.
