Account owners can set up and edit custom fields to track additional data within their Follow Up Boss accounts. There are four types of custom fields to choose from:
- Date
- Text
- Number
- Dropdown
Creating Custom Fields
1. Go to Admin > Custom Fields
2. Select Add Custom Field
3. Add a Field Name, Field Type, and if the field is Hide If Empty or Read-Only > Add Field
Reordering Custom Fields
The account owner can reorder custom fields by clicking and dragging each field to the desired order.
Custom Field Locations
Lead Profile
Custom fields appear in the lower left-hand corner of the Lead Profile.
Calendar
To view custom field dates on the calendar, select Filters > Check the desired fields.
People Page
Custom fields can be displayed on the People screen by selecting Columns in the upper right-hand corner > Custom Fields > check the Desired Custom Fields to display.
Sorting & Filtering by Custom Fields
Custom Fields can be used to filter to specific contacts with ease. On the People page, click Filters in the upper right-hand corner > select the Custom Field.
Merge Fields in Email & Text Templates
Custom Fields can be used in email and text templates to personalize communication. For more information, check out Custom Merge Fields.
