Agents can customize* and download their clients’ Zillow Home Loan pre-approval letters directly within Follow Up Boss. This streamlines the offer submission process by providing agents with fast, self-serve access to pre-approval letters, eliminating the need to contact a loan officer for retrieval. By accessing and downloading your clients’ pre-approval letters directly in Follow Up Boss, you can:
- Submit offers on your schedule - Customize* the purchase price and download your client’s pre-approval letter at a moment’s notice, so you can submit offers at the right time to win more deals.
- Know your buyer’s pre-approved status as soon as possible - never miss one of the most critical moments in your client’s home buying: their pre-approval. You’ll receive automatic notifications with an easy way to take the next steps to make strong offers.

How it Works
Note: ZHL pre-approval letters are only available for Zillow connected leads.
1. Confirm that your account has the Zillow 2 Way Integration enabled
2. Link your Zillow Profile to FUB
3. Assign a Zillow Home Loans loan officer to the lead
The Zillow Home Loans loan officer will connect with the lead, and after the lead's finances are evaluated, the loan officer will initiate the pre-approval process.
4. Pre-approval access
Agents will receive email, text, in-app desktop, and mobile push notifications (based on their notification settings) from FUB when a lead is pre-approved. Clicking the notification will take you to the lead profile, where you can use the link to download the pre-approval letter.
On desktop, agents can also access their clients’ latest pre-approval letter by clicking Get the letter in the financing section of the lead profile. The pre-approval amount and expiration date are also noted.

5. Download the Verified Pre-Approval Letter
Desktop
Customize the Verified Pre-approval letter on the desktop.
- Navigate to the Lead Profile
- Click Download the Verified Pre-Approval letter on the lead timeline, or click Get the letter in the financing section (on the left-hand side).
- Enter the Price to display on letter. The new purchase price must be between $150,000 and the current purchase price.
- Select Download Letter
- You will then see a loading notification at the top of the screen.
- The letter has now been downloaded to your desktop. The file name will be “LastName_VerifiedPreApproval_MonDD”.
- Open the pre-approval letter
Mobile
Download the Verified Pre-approval letter from the FUB mobile app.
- Navigate to the Lead Profile

Select Notes > Download letter

Select the Download icon in the upper right-hand corner

Click Save to Files
- Open the letter in the folder chosen within Files (default is the downloads folder)

I missed the initial notification. How can I find the pre-approval letter later?
- Clicking Get the letter in the financing section on desktop (left-hand side), where you’ll also see the pre-approval amount and expiration date.
- Looking in the Timeline section (desktop) or Notes tab (mobile) for the notification and download link. You can also filter to the Timeline by Activity to find the note more quickly.

What happens if the letter has expired or the lead is unqualified?
- If the letter has expired (after 90 days) or the lead is unqualified, contact your loan officer for a new pre-approval letter or to answer any questions regarding your client's pre-approval status.

Can team members or co-collaborators download the letter?
- No. Co-collaborators on your team can see notifications and activity in Timeline/Notes, but cannot download the letter. Only the assigned agent can download.

Can I view all generated pre-approval letters in FUB (expired and current)?
- All generated pre-approval letters after October 15, 2025 can be downloaded from the lead profile in FUB. If the letter has expired, contact your loan officer for a new pre-approval letter.

Can I customize the pre-approval letter on my mobile device?
- The pre-approval letter can only be customized on desktop.

Can I customize all pre-approval letters from ZHL?
- Not all clients will be eligible to have their pre-approval letter customized. For clients who aren’t eligible, you won’t see a link to customize the letter and will need to contact your loan officer for assistance.
