We are currently experiencing long delays on processing business registration submissions with US Mobile Carriers. Your submission may take several weeks to be processed.
Why does this matter? In an effort to cut down on spam text traffic on their networks, US-based carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile are limiting or even blocking texts sent from businesses who have not registered with them. Registering your business numbers will let the major carriers know that you are a trusted business sending legitimate text messages.
Do I need to register my Follow Up Boss Phone Numbers?
To ensure that text messages sent through Follow Up Boss have the highest level of deliverability, businesses currently sending a high volume of texts to US phone numbers should register. In the future, it is expected that everyone will need to register their phone numbers. To determine if the registration process is necessary for your team now, consider the following criteria:
- Your account has multiple users and you have an EIN or CCN from legally registering the business. An EIN or CCN is required to register your numbers.
- Your team regularly sends 100+ text message per day to US numbers
- Your team sends video messages via the FUB mobile app to US phone numbers
- Your team frequently experiences "carrier filtering" on your text messages when sending to US phone numbers. Check this text report to see how many messages have been filtered for your account.
If you or your team does not meet the criteria above, you likely do not need to register your Follow Up Boss numbers at this time.

Tips for Filling Out the Business Profile Registration Form
Business Profile Registration
It is important that the Business Legal Name and Address exactly match what is on your EIN or CCN registration letter, ie Orlando Real Estate Sales, LLC. If the information doesn't match, your registration will be rejected.
Business Registration Type is the identification number for your business:
- Businesses in United States: Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- If you don't have an EIN, you may not need to apply for business registration. If you are experiencing "carrier filtering" on your text messages, you need to apply for an EIN before registering.
- If you have lost or misplaced your EIN, the IRS can help: Lost or Misplaced your EIN? (This EIN lookup site may also help.)
- Businesses in Canada: Provincial Corporation Number (CCN)
You only need to register if you send texts to people in the US

- If you don't have one, request a Canadian Business Registration Number here

- Our automated process does not currently support approval for VAT IDs. Please email support@followupboss.com if you need to complete the business registration process.
