Starting December 1, 2024, US mobile carriers require all businesses to register before sending text messages through CRM tools like Follow Up Boss. To learn more about these industry-wide changes, check out Why Business Registration Matters.
⚠️ Important: Only outbound texting is disabled until US mobile carriers approve your Business Registration. You can still receive texts in Follow Up Boss. Calling and emailing are not impacted.
What does it look like to have outbound texting disabled?
If texting has been disabled due to an unapproved Business Registration, users on the account will be notified of the texting block when they attempt to send an outbound text.

What do I need to do to enable texting?
To enable outbound texting, the Business Registration on your account needs to be submitted and approved by US mobile carriers. Once our team verifies that your registration is compliant with carrier requirements, it can be approved within approximately 48 hours.
Important: If you are not an admin on your FUB account, please reach out to an admin on your team to complete the steps below.
Navigate to the Business Registration
1. Go to Admin > Company > View Business Registration
2. If the Business Registration form has not been completed, check out How to Register Your Phone Numbers for step-by-step instructions.
View the Rejections & Take Action
1. If your Business Registration has been submitted previously and was rejected, you will see Action Required in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Click or scroll down to the section(s) needing action (highlighted in red) and make the necessary changes to your website.
Submit the Business Registration
1. Once you have made the necessary corrections, submit the Business Registration for approval.
2. After submitting for approval, you will see Pending in the upper right-hand corner of the Business Registration page.
3. The owner of the account will be notified via email when the Business Registration is approved or if there is a rejection and additional action must be taken.
How can I check the status of my Business Registration?
To view your Business Registration status, go to Admin > Company > View Business Registration. At the top of this page, you will see the status bar. For more information about each status, check out Business Registration Status.
