What information syncs
The following data is sent to Follow Up Boss:
- Name.
- Email address.
- Phone number.
- Lead source and tag.
- Message details, such as property inquiries, valuation requests, or showing requests.
- Property address, when applicable.
- Property MLS ID and listing details for IDX inquiries.
One-way or two-way sync?
This is a one-way sync from Real Estate 7, CT IDX Pro+, and CT Automated Home Valuations to Follow Up Boss.
All leads flow into Follow Up Boss automatically. No data is written back to the website platforms.
How it works
Buyer leads (IDX search)
When a visitor saves a search, saves a property, or submits an inquiry on your CT IDX Pro+ website, the lead is instantly pushed into Follow Up Boss with the correct tag and associated property data.
Seller leads (home valuations)
When a homeowner requests an instant valuation using CT Automated Home Valuations, their contact information and property address are immediately sent to Follow Up Boss for follow-up.
Website contact forms (Real Estate 7)
Any lead submitted through Real Estate 7 contact forms or showing request forms is pushed directly into Follow Up Boss.
Phone numbers
This integration does not use the FUB Phone. Once the lead appears in Follow Up Boss, all communication continues through your existing Follow Up Boss settings and tools.
Before you begin
- You must have an active Follow Up Boss account.
- You must have access to the Account Owner API key.
- You must have access to your Follow Up Boss Pixel code.
- You must have admin access to Real Estate 7, CT IDX Pro+, or CT Automated Home Valuations settings.
Both the API key and Pixel code are required for the integration to function properly.
Set up the API integration
Step 1: Get your Follow Up Boss API key
- Log in to your Follow Up Boss account.
- Go to Admin.
- Select API Keys.
- Copy the Account Owner API key.
Step 2: Add your API key and Pixel code to your website
You must enter both the API key and Pixel code inside the integration settings of each product you are using.
Real Estate 7
- Go to Real Estate 7 Options.
- Select Follow Up Boss.
- Paste your Follow Up Boss API key.
- Paste your Follow Up Boss Pixel code into the Pixel field.
- Click Save changes.
CT IDX Pro+
- Go to Settings.
- Select CT IDX Pro+.
- Select Follow Up Boss.
- Paste your API key.
- Paste your Pixel code.
- Click Save changes.
CT Automated Home Valuations
- Go to Settings.
- Select CT Valuations.
- Select Follow Up Boss.
- Paste your API key.
- Paste your Pixel code.
- Click Save changes.
Step 3: Test the integration
Submit a test lead using one of the following:
- A Real Estate 7 contact form.
- A CT IDX Pro+ property inquiry.
- A CT Automated Home Valuations form.
Then verify the lead in Follow Up Boss:
- Log in to Follow Up Boss.
- Go to People.
- Confirm the test lead appears with:
- The correct lead source.
- Appropriate tags.
- Property data for IDX inquiries.
- Valuation address for valuation requests.
- Confirm visitor activity is tracking correctly through your Pixel.
Troubleshooting
Leads not appearing in Follow Up Boss
- Ensure the Account Owner API key was used.
- Check for leading or trailing spaces when pasting the API key.
- Confirm that your Follow Up Boss account is active.
- Make sure no security plugins or firewall rules are blocking outgoing API requests.
Duplicate leads
Follow Up Boss automatically merges contacts based on matching email addresses or phone numbers. This is expected behavior and helps maintain a clean database.

No. This is a direct integration and does not require any third-party tools.
Can I choose which tags appear in Follow Up Boss?
Tags are automatically assigned based on lead type. After the lead arrives in Follow Up Boss, you can customize or adjust tags within your CRM.
