There are various reasons why an email can go to spam depending on the type of email. We have outlined the most common reasons why each type of email goes to spam and what to do for successful email delivery.
1:1 Emails
Signature
A signature can cause an email to go to spam due to the amount of images and/or links. To see if your signature is causing an issue with email delivery, try sending an email without your signature. If your signature is the culprit, we recommend Editing your Signature.

Links
Oftentimes, links can cause emails to go to spam. To avoid this, we recommend Hyperlinking all links within an email.
Email not connected to FUB
If your email is not connected to FUB and you send a 1-1 email, we will still attempt to send the email using a fallback email server. Due to increased security measures being implemented by major email providers like Google and Yahoo to reduce spam, the deliverability of emails sent through this fallback server will be impacted making it more likely to go to spam. It's always best to have your email connected to FUB and you can learn more about why here: Connecting Your Email Overview
Batch Emails
Email Policy
If you are sending batch emails, we strongly recommend you Authenticate your Custom Domain to Improve Email Deliverability. This will allow FUB to send batch emails on your behalf using our SendGrid account. The DNS records inform recipients that the email is not being spoofed and that FUB is a trusted sender.
Note: To update DNS records, you must have a custom domain.
