Appointment reminder texts are an effective way to remind leads of upcoming appointments and ensure they have all the necessary information to attend the appointment. Appointment reminder texts can be enabled by admins on the Powers Ups screen.
Creating an Appointment
Text Notification
A copy of the appointment reminder text will also show on the lead profile.
Note: If you re-open an appointment after creating it and want the reminder text to be sent, please be sure to RE-CHECK the box. Otherwise, the reminder text will be canceled upon resaving the appointment.
When Text Reminders are Sent
Reminders will be sent at the following times:
- If you create a same-day appointment, a text reminder is sent right away.
- For appointments that start before 8:30 am, a text reminder will be sent an hour before the appointment.
- For appointments that start after 8:30 am, a text reminder will be sent at 8:30 am.
- For an all-day appointment, the text reminder will be sent at 12:30 pm the day before.
Times are based on the user's time zone unless an explicit appointment timezone was set. If scheduling an appointment for someone in a different time zone than your own, choose their time zone when creating the appointment and the reminder text will display their time and time zone.
ISA Scheduled Appointments
ISAs can schedule appointments for agents. If an ISA schedules an appointment, removes themselves from the appointment, and invites the agent to the appointment, the reminder text will come directly from the agent. The ISA will still be credited for setting the appointment.
Editing Appointments
To edit an appointment, Click on the Appointment from the calendar or lead profile > Edit > Save Appointment. If the Send invitation email & text reminder box is checked, the lead will receive an email and text notifying them of the updates.
