Showcase IDX is a WordPress plugin that allows agents to display MLS listing information on their websites. The API Integration between Showcase IDX and Follow Up Boss allows agents to seamlessly send their lead information and activity over to Follow Up Boss, assign leads to various drip campaigns and enter them into other workflows. 

 

How it Works

Showcase IDX offers an outbound integration (from Showcase IDX to Follow Up Boss) using an API key for Premium plan subscribers. Showcase IDX customers who do not subscribe to the Premium plan can connect to Follow Up Boss via Zapier or email parsing. 

 

API Integration (recommended) 

1. Create a Follow Up Boss API Key by going to Admin > API

2. Select Create API Key 

3. Name the API Key Showcase IDX > Create API Key

4. Press Copy 

5. Log in to Showcase IDX

6. Go to Integrations > Follow Up Boss > Add

7. Enter the API Key

8. Name the Integration

9. Select the Integration Level (recommend Account)

  • Account: sends any event across any user and website on the account
  • Website: sends activity from a specific website but any user
  • User: sends activity from a specific user for any website they are assigned leads

10. Select the events desired > Save

 

Email Parsing Integration

1. Copy your Follow Up Boss Lead Email Address by going to Admin > API

2. Log In to Showcase IDX > Settings > Lead Routing

3. Navigate to Distribution Settings > paste your FUB Lead Email address in for forwarding section

FAQs 

Does it cost to integrate FUB with Showcase IDX? 
Yes, Showcase IDX has a fee to integrate FUB. However, Follow Up Boss doesn't charge to integrate Showcase IDX. 
How do I set up lead assignment? 
Review the Showcase IDX Lead Routing settings first. If you plan on routing leads to agents on your team, there are two ways you could do this, but there are caveats to both.
1. Let Follow Up Boss route the leads for you: To do this, remove the assignee from the Showcase IDX lead routing. This will mark all leads in Showcase IDX as "unassigned" and Follow Up Boss routing will take over and route the leads in Follow Up Boss. The caveat with this is the leads will be unassigned in Showcase IDX, meaning, if an agent wants to then send a search or listing recommendation to their lead, the lead in Showcase IDX would need to be manually assigned to the agent. If the agent is not an admin, they may not be able to access the lead in this case and would need an admin to assign the lead in Showcase IDX to that agent.
2. Use Showcase IDX Round Robin lead routing. Set the lead routing to Round Robin for each lead source in Showcase IDX and select the agents in your roster to be included in lead routing. Leads will be assigned to agents in Showcase IDX and Follow Up Boss will assign the leads in their system to the same agent! This would mean that you are allowing lead assignment to be handled by Showcase IDX.
How can I troubleshoot the integration?
Your name and email address must match in Showcase IDX and Follow Up Boss or the integration will not work. Make sure they're the same. (Example: your lead routing name and email in Showcase IDX is Jane Doe janedoe@realty.com, and your email in FUB is Jane A Doe jane.doe@realtyus.com. The integration will not work.)
If there is an extra space in your user name in Showcase IDX (like between your first and last name, or after your last name), the integration will not work. Remove the extra space.
