RealSavvy provides an IDX solution embedded directly inside Follow Up Boss. Agents can create IDX accounts, build saved searches, configure listing alerts, and share properties without leaving the CRM.

RealSavvy syncs lead activity, property views, saved searches, saved properties, forms, tags, and more into Follow Up Boss. This is a one-way sync from RealSavvy to Follow Up Boss, with full visibility inside the Person record.

How it works

RealSavvy connects to Follow Up Boss using an API key provided by the account owner.

Once enabled, a RealSavvy embedded app appears inside each Person record. From there, agents can:

  • Create IDX accounts for leads.
  • Build saved searches.
  • Configure listing alerts.
  • Track home search behavior.
  • Share properties directly from Follow Up Boss.

All supported IDX activity syncs into the corresponding contact record for easy tracking.

Before you begin

  • You must have admin access in Follow Up Boss.
  • You must create a Follow Up Boss API key.
  • The API key must be provided to RealSavvy support.

Set up the API integration

Step 1: Create a Follow Up Boss API key

  1. Log in to Follow Up Boss as an admin.
  2. Go to Admin.
  3. Select API Keys and lead email.
  4. Click Create API Key.
  5. Name the API key “Real Savvy.”
  6. Copy the API key.
  7. Email the API key to support@realsavvy.com.

RealSavvy will complete the backend connection once they receive your key.

Step 2: Enable the embedded app

  1. Log in to Follow Up Boss as an account administrator.
  2. Go to Admin.
  3. Select All integrations.
  4. Scroll to the Embedded Apps section.
  5. Select Real Savvy.
  6. Click Enable.

Once enabled, the RealSavvy panel will appear on the right side of all Person records.

Create IDX accounts from inside Follow Up Boss

After setup, you can create and manage searches directly from a contact record.

  1. Open a Person record in Follow Up Boss.
    The contact must have an email address.
  2. Locate the RealSavvy embedded app in the right sidebar.
  3. Click New Search.
  4. Enter a search name and select the alert frequency.
  5. Add location filters such as city, neighborhood, ZIP code, or county.
  6. Set property criteria, including price, beds, baths, square footage, and amenities.
  7. Click Save Search.

After saving, you can copy the search link to share via email or SMS.

Common issues and fixes

IDX panel not showing

  • Confirm the Follow Up Boss API key was sent to RealSavvy.
  • Ensure the RealSavvy embedded app is enabled under Admin > All integrations.

Searches not saving

  • Verify the contact has an email address.
  • IDX accounts require an email to create and save searches.

MLS data missing

  • Confirm the MLS feed has been enabled by RealSavvy.
  • Contact support@realsavvy.com for assistance.

FAQ

Does this work if I already have a website?

Yes. RealSavvy offers embeddable IDX widgets that can work alongside your existing website.

Can I use my existing forms?

Yes. Your existing forms can be used as long as they capture the lead's first name, last name, and email address.
