FOREWARN is a real estate safety and due diligence solution designed to help agents prepare for meeting new clients in person. Analyzing billions of data points aggregated from proprietary and public records, FOREWARN provides instant, real-time intelligence that helps agents verify who they are working with and approach appointments with greater confidence.
With the FOREWARN Embedded App in Follow Up Boss (FUB), agents with an active FOREWARN subscription can access FOREWARN directly within FUB—eliminating the need to switch between platforms and keeping lead information and safety insights in one place.
FOREWARN features include:
- Verify Identities: Use as little as an incoming phone number to verify a prospect’s identity
- Identify Criminal History: Instantly view a prospect’s criminal history to identify possible safety risks
- Confirm Financial Data: Verify financial data such as bankruptcies, liens, judgments, and foreclosures to prepare for meetings and better serve your customers

How it works
Through this integration, agents with an active FOREWARN subscription can access reports directly in Follow Up Boss. This helps agents access safety insights in a centralized place..
Data obtained through FOREWARN is provided on an “as is” basis and is not warranted as accurate, current, or complete by FOREWARN. FOREWARN may only be used to verify lead identity, prevent and detect fraud, and help protect agent safety, not to screen leads based on any protected class, close proxies, perceived creditworthiness, or any other characteristic unrelated to lead identity and personal safety. Zillow does not substantiate, validate, or otherwise certify any data obtained through FOREWARN, and expects agents to use the FUB integration consistent with Zillow's Good Neighbor Policy. Agents may consult with a local attorney to understand any potential risks with using FOREWARN data.
Enabling the Embedded App
Setting Up the Integration
To get started, an admin user must add the FOREWARN Embedded App to Follow Up Boss. Navigate to the Admin Portal, then open the Integrations section. Locate the FOREWARN application, select it, and enable it.
Logging In
Once the integration is enabled, navigate to a lead profile in Follow Up Boss. The FOREWARN widget will appear on the right side of the screen. Click the Login button and enter your FOREWARN credentials to authenticate.
Viewing Results
After logging in, the FOREWARN widget will automatically display results relevant to the person currently being viewed.
Note: A valid phone number must be on file for the person in order to retrieve results.
Possible Search Results
Depending on available information, FOREWARN may display:
- One or multiple results — FOREWARN found one or more individuals associated with the phone number. A list of matching results will be displayed. Click on a person's record to view additional details, consistent with what is available in the FOREWARN web and mobile applications.
- No Results Found — FOREWARN has no data associated with the provided phone number. While this is rare, this may happen if, for example, the phone number is tied to another business instead of a person or household.
- No Phone Number on File — A phone number has not been added to this person's record. Please add one to proceed.
- Invalid Phone Number — The phone number on file is not valid. Please update it with a correctly formatted number.
- No Permission — Your FOREWARN account does not have search permissions enabled. Please contact your Account Administrator or the FOREWARN Support team for assistance.

Q: How can agents access FOREWARN?
- A: FOREWARN is now more easily accessible through the FUB integration for agents who have an active FOREWARN account, subject to all current terms of use and applicable policies. Over 650 real estate associations and Multiple Listing Services (MLSs) across the United States partner with FOREWARN to provide the service as an included member benefit. If you haven’t activated FOREWARN yet, reach out to your association/MLS to see if FOREWARN is available at no cost to you. If your association/MLS does not currently offer FOREWARN as an included member benefit, you may subscribe directly with FOREWARN through FOREWARN’s website.

Q: Should agents use information from FOREWARN to determine whether to work with a client?
- A: Zillow and FOREWARN expect that FOREWARN data will be used solely to verify lead identity and help protect agent safety, not to screen leads based on any protected class, close proxies, perceived creditworthiness, or any other characteristic unrelated to lead identity and personal safety, consistent with Zillow's Good Neighbor Policy. Agents should follow all applicable laws, Fair Housing requirements, brokerage policies, and professional standards. Any decisions regarding client interactions should be made in compliance with those requirements and Zillow’s Good Neighbor Policy.

Q: What happens if I transfer a connection to another agent, if they have FOREWARN, will they get access to that buyer info through FOREWARN?
- A: If the new agent has a FOREWARN subscription, they’ll be able to access the FOREWARN report for that buyer.
