At Follow Up Boss, we want to help you keep your leads organized. Usually, this means preventing duplicates from entering your database. However, there are situations where you may want leads to be duplicated. With the Power Up: Agent-Owned Lead Duplication turned on, your users with the Agent role can receive duplicate leads in certain circumstances.
Note: Account Owners on Pro and Platform accounts can turn on Agent-Owned Lead Duplication from the Power-Ups page.
 

 

How it Works

Agent-Owned Lead Duplication is directly tied to how leads are distributed from your team's Lead Flow. The account owner and admin users can view this page by going to Admin > Lead Flow. 

With this Power-up on, leads will duplicate when they've gone through any agent user's Lead Flow for the first time, even if that lead is already in Follow Up Boss or assigned to another agent. An agent-owned Lead Flow is a Lead Flow source that contains the Agent's name.

 

⚠️ Important: The owner/admin of the FUB account can not import duplicate leads for other agents or themselves. Agent deduplication with importing only works when an agent role is logged in and doing the import themselves. 

 

Scenarios where leads won't duplicate

There are some situations where a lead will not duplicate with this Power-Up. Leads won't duplicate when:

  • The lead is assigned to the FUB Account Owner or a Follow Up Boss Admin user
  • The lead comes through an Owner Lead Flow. An Owner Lead Flow is a Lead Flow that ends with the owner's name. These are typically team-provided leads. Note: some lead sources can only come in as an Owner Lead Flow.

 

When to use Agent-Owned Lead Duplication

  • If users with the agent role have their own leads coming into a Follow Up Boss account from outside the team, like agent-funded leads.
  • If users with the agent role are importing leads into Follow Up Boss. This will prevent the deduplication/merging of leads that the agent user has that may already be in your team's Follow Up Boss account. After the Import is complete, Agent Owned Lead Duplication can be turned back off. 

 

Enabling Agent-Owned Lead Duplication 

Note: Account Owners on Pro and Platform accounts can turn on Agent-Owned Lead Duplication from the Power-Ups page.

1. Go to your Initials/Image in the upper right-hand corner > Power-Ups

2. Toggle on Agent-Owned Lead Duplication 

 

FAQs 

How is email privacy handled with the Agent-Owned Lead Duplication Power-Up? 
To protect agent privacy, emails sent from Follow Up Boss to duplicate contacts will not appear on all lead profiles. The email will only appear on the profile that the email was sent from.  
How many duplicate profiles can there be for one email address?
The same email address can be saved to 10 duplicate profiles in FUB.
