Open and Click Tracking for Emails

Open Tracking

When you send out an email in Follow Up Boss to a client, we will track if that email has been opened by the recipient. 

On the timeline of the lead that was emailed, you will see a small green indicator that will let you know how many times the email has been opened. This will update based off of how many times the user specifically opened the email.

*Note: some email services may block content within the email that prevents us from tracking opens.

Open Tracking for Batch Emails

The same rules apply to batch emails that are sent out from your account. One thing to be aware of is that the Opens displayed here shows the total number of opens, not number of people who have opened the email.

When you send out an email with a link in the body of your message, Follow Up Boss will track how many times that link was clicked.

On the timeline of the lead that was emailed, you will see another small green indicator that will let you know how many times the link in your email was clicked.

Click Tracking for Batch Emails

Note: you will see the number of times the link was clicked on the Reporting page, not the number of people who clicked the link.

Filtering People by Email Opens

Using the Last Email Open column on the People screen, you can easily filter and/or sort by when people have last opened an email you sent them.

To use this column, select it from the Columns menu on the right-hand side of the People screen:

file-MY5iYJbi3c.gifBy hovering over the Last Open column, you can apply a filter and/or sort. Filters are added by clicking the funnel. Sorting is done by clicking the column heading.
