How it Works
The BuyAbility target price provides agents with a clearer understanding of what buyers desire and can afford in a home, taking into account monthly and down payment amounts, as well as real-time rates from Zillow Home Loans. This allows agents to recommend and showcase homes that are more in line with the buyers' budget.
How to Enable
For a buyer’s BuyAbility target price to appear in FUB, there are three requirements.
- Zillow Two Way Integration (Enabled)
- My Agent Relationship (Active)
- Buyer Completes BuyAbility Questionnaire
Once these three requirements are met, the buyer’s BuyAbility target price will appear in FUB on their lead profile on the desktop and on the app.

How agents can use the BuyAbility score
Prioritize
The presence of the BuyAbility target price field indicates the buyer has taken steps to understand what they can afford, which may signal their intent, and you may want to prioritize reaching out to these buyers.
Validate
Leverage the target price insight to tailor your financing discussion with the buyer
- You will know that the buyer has taken the step to understand their target price, including thinking about and documenting their preferred monthly payment and down payment
- When the time is right, you can feel confident asking questions about the desired price point, knowing that the buyer has considered them and gotten a better sense of what they can afford through BuyAbility
- This can also lead to a more seamless transition to introducing the buyer to a ZHL loan officer to discuss pre-approval
Refine
Tailor your home search and homes you recommend to the buyer based on their target price. You can do so in Follow Up Boss by:
- Checking that the buyer's recent activity on Zillow (viewed, saved properties) and resurface ones that fit within the buyer’s target price
- If you have the ZPA embedded app installed, you can navigate to the Buyer - Recommended tab and check which recommended homes are within their BuyAbility target price and resurface those
