Overview
Follow Up Boss supports email and calendar syncing with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 Business, and personal Gmail accounts. While some personal email providers can send and receive email, they do not support the authentication methods required for reliable email syncing and marketing features.
Choosing a supported provider helps ensure better email deliverability, calendar syncing, and overall compatibility with Follow Up Boss.
Tip: Authenticate your custom domain to improve email deliverability.

Why some providers aren't supported
Many personal email providers and hosted email services do not support the authentication or sending requirements needed for Follow Up Boss marketing emails and integrations.
For example:
- Yahoo, AOL, and many telecom or cable providers enforce DMARC policies that prevent third-party systems from sending marketing emails on your behalf.
- Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live.com, and MSN personal accounts do not support the business integrations required by Follow Up Boss.
Because of these limitations, these providers are not supported for email integration.
Using GoDaddy or Rackspace
If your domain is hosted with GoDaddy or Rackspace, you do not need to move your domain registration.
Instead, you can:
- Keep your existing domain registration.
- Upgrade your email service to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 Business.
- Follow the provider's setup process to connect your domain.
This allows you to continue using your existing domain while gaining full compatibility with Follow Up Boss.
