Having alerts set up about incoming leads not only for yourself but for other agents would help immediately identify possible important leads and see how many leads come in a day. Alerts can be set to notify you in different ways so even if you're out and about, you will get the notification.
Notifications About the Leads Assigned to You
When you are assigned a new lead, you will receive an email alert and also a text message. Note, the text message will only work if you have input your phone number under My Settings.
Text messages and iPhone push alerts will be sent to you 24/7 at any time of the day so make sure you set up notifications for your iPhone at specific times only.
If you do not want to receive text message alerts, you can disable those under My Settings. You can also enable desktop notifications under My Settings.
Notifications About the Leads Assigned to Other Agents
Admin users also have an option to receive email notifications for leads assigned to any agent in their account. Only admin users can receive notifications about the leads assigned to others.
You do not need to enable this feature in order to receive notifications for leads assigned to you as this will always happen automatically by default.
This feature can be enabled for individual admins by first going to Admin > Team
Click on the team the admin/owner is in, and then click Edit next to that person:
Then tick Notify by email about all new inquiries in Follow Up Boss checkbox and click on the Save button:
This user will start receiving a copy of email notification for all leads coming into Follow Up Boss including leads assigned to other agents. Notifications about the leads assigned to other agents can be distinguished from the ones assigned to you by the extra words Assigned to <Agent Name> in the email subject and body.
