Send an automated text message to new leads as they enter your account via the Lead Flow. Each text can be customized with merge fields to make it more personal and increase engagement.
Creating the Initial Text
1. Go to Admin > Lead Flow
2. Navigate to the lead source you would like to add an initial text to and select Advanced Settings
3. Select + Add Initial Text Message on a specific rule or the default rule
Tip: If no rules are specified for the lead source, add the initial text to the default rule at the bottom of the page.
4. Compose the text or select a Text Template
Tip: Use merge fields to customize the text for each lead. The limit is 300 characters per line.
5. Set the text to be delayed X Minutes after the lead enters FUB
6. Select the FUB Number you would like to send the text from
Note: The text will be sent from the assigned agent's FUB number if they have Calling enabled. If they don't have calling enabled, the initial text will be sent from the FUB company number.
If a team inbox number is selected, the initial text will be sent from the team inbox number (the text will not be sent from the assigned agent's FUB number even if they have calling enabled).
7. Save the changes in the upper right-hand corner
Disabling the Initial Text
1. Go to Admin > Lead Flow
2. Navigate to the lead source you would like to remove the initial text from and select Advanced Settings
3. Scroll down to the initial text and select the Trash icon in the upper right-hand corner
4. Save the changes in the upper right-hand corner
FAQs
Yes, the initial text applied to your action plans is still being sent to new web leads via the lead flow. For easy migration, FUB has added all action plan initial text messages to your Text Templates within a folder titled "Initial Text Messages - Lead Flow."
Each migrated initial text is titled "Initial Text Message - [Action Plan Name].
To save the initial text, confirm that you have conditions set in the Lead Flow rule. If conditions are not selected, the initial text will not save.
- Text messages will not be sent between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. in the assigned agent's local time. They will queue and be sent the following morning at 8 a.m. For more details on queued text messages, click here.
- The lead doesn't have a phone number, or the number is not valid.
- We only send automated text messages to leads that are registered on your website or leads that have made a property inquiry, general inquiry, seller inquiry, or visited an open house. Make sure the lead is being sent to FUB via the correct endpoint (API docs).
