If you actively use your Premier Agent proxy number for your business, you may want to port them into the Follow Up Boss system for calling and texting.
⚠️ When a number is ported to Follow Up Boss, it is no longer supported by Zillow. This means if you port your Zillow proxy number into Follow Up Boss, it will no longer function with 2-way messaging within the Premier Agent app. Messaging with this number will be supported in Follow Up Boss instead.
What You Need to Know
- There are no fees from Follow Up Boss to port in numbers.
- Porting can take less than 24 hours to complete once the losing carrier approves the release of the number. During this time, the phone number is active with the current provider until the port is complete.
- Only Owner and Admin roles can submit a Port Request on behalf of their team members.
- FUB only allows for 1 proxy number per user account. Users who wish to use their PA proxy numbers as their FUB number can do so after porting in their number by swapping their existing account number with the newly ported number.
Submitting a Port Request
1. In Follow Up Boss, go to Admin > Phone Numbers > New Port Request
2. Enter the number being ported into Follow Up Boss and select a Team Inbox to add the number to (this number can be swapped with a user’s existing number after the port completes) > Submit
3. Select Zillow Premier Agent as the losing provider > Submit
After the number is successfully ported, the owner of the account will be automatically notified via email. Incoming calls and messages will reach the Team Inbox selected in step 3.
Swap the Inbox and User Number
To replace an individual user’s FUB number with the newly ported-in (formerly PA proxy) number, an owner or admin user can go to Admin > Phone Numbers > Actions > Swap number.
Select the individual user to swap the number with > Swap Numbers
After this is done, the user’s number is now the newly ported proxy number, and the user’s previous FUB number becomes a number for the team inbox. For more information, check out Manage Phone Numbers.
⚠️ Important: Users who want to receive their Zillow calls through a FUB proxy number should add their FUB Personal Number (listed on their My Settings page) to their Zillow Profile to ensure all Zillow calls are routed to the correct user.
- To minimize the risk of missed calls, please ensure your call routing preferences in FUB are set up to receive calls quickly and automated answering features (such as call screening or automations requiring a caller to enter an extension number first) are not used.
Broadcasting Rules
For Team Leads who want to set up broadcasting rules for their incoming PA proxy number (like the former Direct Call Broadcast routing setting), they can easily select the team members they want to route incoming calls to. For more information, check out Team Inbox: Using the Inbox.
