DNS Authorization
Why is this necessary?
Earlier this year, Google announced some major updates that went into effect starting February 1st, 2024 about how they're approaching email security standards for 3rd party email marketing services, like FUB. Other major email providers like Microsoft and Yahoo are following in Google's footsteps, so this is now the "new normal". For more information on those details click here to see the announcement from Google.
At FUB, we're committed to supporting you in making the necessary updates that will ensure you can continue sending marketing emails through FUB.
Automated DNS Authorization
What is Entri?
Entri is a tool that allows users to authenticate their domain from inside their FUB accounts!
We integrated Entri into the FUB Domain Authentication page in your FUB account.
That means, if you 1) manage your own DNS, 2) have the login info for your DNS provider, and
3) Entri supports your DNS provider, then you are eligible to use this feature!
Entri can authenticate most common DNS providers. It is very likely that you qualify, but we still need to check before we begin the process.
Determining Eligibility
Step 1
Step 2
Confirm Entri supports the DNS provider. Below is a list of all supported DNS providers.
- 123-Reg
- Amazon Route 53 (AWS)
- Arsys
- Bluehost US
- Cloudflare

- Domain.com

- DNSimple
- DreamHost

- Xneelo
Step 3
If your DNS provider is one of the eligible providers in the list above, BUT you do not have the login credentials for the DNS provider account, then your IT team or the support team for your website provider is likely managing the DNS zone for your domain. In this case, there is an option to "Forward login to someone else" showing in the GIF below. This will give you a link you can send to the person or team (often the website provider) who manages the DNS so they can complete the Domain Authentication Process.
Step 4: Using Entri inside of your FUB account
1. Navigate to your Email Domain Authentication Page
2. Select Claim Domain
3. You will be prompted to log into your domain provider (2FA authentication may be required).
4. DNS record updates will start automatically. Be sure to not exit out of the page or your account while this process completes.
5. When the domain authentication is successful, you will see confetti on the screen indicating the process is complete!
Note: If you run into any issues please email support@followupboss.com so we can help navigate any roadblocks.
Completing these steps will improve the deliverability of your marketing emails, giving your emails the best chance to make it to recipient inboxes without being filtered into spam folders.
