Exporting Contacts allows you to make a copy of the contacts to save and use for services outside of Follow Up Boss.
Who can export?
Exporting Contacts is only available to account owners by default. Account owners can grant or revoke this feature to their users from the Admin > Team page and updating the Can Export checkbox.
How do I export a few people?
Exporting Contacts is simple. Go to any list of people, select who you want to export, click the Export arrow icon, and click Yes, Export People:
How do I export an entire list?
Go to any list of people, click the Select all link in blue and then click the Export arrow icon, and click Yes, Export People. Our default is to only select the contacts visible on the screen. If you have more contacts than what you immediately see on screen, don't forget to click Select All!
What Columns Can I Export?
The following data can be exported for each person:
For all email, phone, and address columns, we export a maximum of six items. For example, if the Export all columns option is enabled when you do an export, and a person has multiple phone numbers in the database, the first phone number will be exported under the "Phone 1" column, the second in "Phone 2", etc. If the Export all columns option is not enabled, we will only export the first phone, address, and email on the profile.
Please note that even with the Export all columns box selected, we only export the fields listed above.
How do I Pick Which Columns I Want to Export?
Unless the Export all columns box is checked, we will only export the contact's full name, plus the columns you've enabled for that Smart list on the People screen.
For example, if you've disabled the Email and Address columns (like in the picture below), those columns will not be part of the export. The Phone, Price, and Tags columns will be in the export, as they are enabled in the column's dropdown:
Please Note: When exporting phone number, email address, and address, we will only export the first number or address shown for each contact. If you need any additional phone numbers, email addresses, or street addresses, use the Export all columns option.
How do I Export Trashed Contacts?
When selecting contacts to export, contacts in the "Trash" stage will be excluded. To export your trashed contacts, you will need to create a filter based on Stage to include Trash:
Will exporting contacts remove them from my Follow Up Boss account?
No, exporting leads simply provides you with a copy of the information currently in your contacts. It will not delete the exported contacts from your system, and that export will not update with any new information you add after exporting.
Do admins have the ability to export by default?
No, only the account owner can export leads by default. To enable exporting permissions for any team member, see the "Granting Access to Other Users" section above.
Can I export Ponds?
You can export leads who are in ponds, but the pond name is not included in the export. If you want to export pond assignments, use Mass Actions to tag leads in the pond with the pond name. Tags are included on the export and can be used to identify which pond the leads were in.
Can I export Deals or Reports?
