Conversations by StreetText is a powerful tool that enables automated texting for each ad you run. It provisions a local number, similar to FUB, and allows ad-specific automations to increase conversation rates and save time.
How it Works
1. Automated Texting: Conversations by StreetText sends text messages to leads, and each message is recorded and automatically closed in FUB to prevent clutter.
2. Lead Response: When a lead responds, Conversations by StreetText turns off, and the conversation is visible in your FUB Inbox.
3. Easy Response Management: Respond to leads through either the StreetText number or your FUB number.
How to Integrate
If you've previously connected FUB to SteetText:
1. Login to StreetText
2. Click Settings in the upper right-hand corner
3. Select the Integrations card > Follow Up Boss
4. Under Settings, enable Inbox Sync
5. The changes are automatically saved, you're all set!
If you haven't connected FUB to StreetText:
1. Login in Follow Up Boss
2. Create a FUB API Key by going to Admin > API > Create API Key
Note: The API key generated will be used in step 6.
3. Go to Admin > Integrations
4. Select Conversations by StreetText > Install
5. Login to your StreetText account
6. Once logged in, you will be directed to the screen below. Paste the API key created in step 2 > Connect.
7. The integration is complete!
Commands
Creating notes in Follow Up Boss, either manually or as part of an action plan, with commands at the beginning can prompt StreetText to send messages to your leads after a delay of your choosing.
The command must be placed at the beginning of the note. Adding one or more new lines after the command is optional. Only one command per note is allowed.
Command | Description |
[now] |
Send the message immediately, regardless of business hours. |
[scheduled] |
Sends the message immediately during business hours, or queues it for sending the next business day (as configured in your StreetText settings). |
[<relative time>] Examples:
|
Waits for the indicated time to send the message. If the time falls outside of business hours, it will be sent at the start of the next business day. Limitations:

[<absolute time>] Examples:
|
Sends at the indicated time. If the time falls outside of business hours, it will be sent at the start of the next business day. If the time is in the past, the message will be sent immediately. Limitations:

[delete] or [remove] or (empty note) |
The scheduled SMS related to this note will be cancelled (if it hasn't been sent yet) and the note deleted. Deleting all of a note's text will also work. All supported keywords:

Avoiding Conflicts with Other Integrations
If you're using other integrations that also respond to [commands] at the beginning of your notes, you can use curly braces instead of square brackets.
For example: {2h}, {scheduled}, {12:00}, etc.
Status Reactions
When StreetText processes a note command, we will add a specific reaction to the note to confirm the request has been handled or to signal a problem.
- Manually adding or removing reactions will have no effect -- they are only used as status indicators.
- Due to the way the FUB reactions API works, the reactions will appear to come from you.
Reaction | Meaning |
🕑 |
The message has been scheduled. |
🤷
|
The command was not recognized. This may be due to an invalid or unsupported time (eg [32:85], [18h]), or a typo in the command ([schedult]) |
🤐 |
A time was provided without a message, so there's nothing to send. |
