Assigning conversations is beneficial when there are specific users on your team who need to address the conversation at hand. Whether this is a conversation in a team inbox or your personal inbox, conversations can be assigned on the desktop and the app.
How it Works
Assign a Conversation on the Desktop
1. Go to Inbox
2. Open the conversation by clicking on the communication preview
3. Click Me/Inbox Name in the upper right-hand corner of the conversation
4. Search and Select the desired user/inbox to assign the conversation
5. The conversation will automatically move to your Assigned Inbox
6. The assigned user(s) will be notified of the conversation based on their Notification Settings. The conversation can also be found in the assigned agent or team inbox.
Assign a Conversation on the App
iPhone App
1. Click Inbox in the lower left-hand corner of the app
2. Click the Communication Preview to open it
3. In the upper right-hand corner, click the Three Horizontal Dots > Assign Conversation
4. Search and Select the desired user/team inbox to assign the conversation
5. The conversation will automatically move to the Assigned Inbox
6. The assigned user(s) will be notified of the conversation based on their Notification Settings. The conversation can also be found in the assigned agent or team inbox.
Android App
1. Click Inbox in the lower left-hand corner of the app
