What email address appears when I send emails from Follow Up Boss?

The email that you have set as your connected email is what we send emails out from.

Will Follow Up Boss sync previous emails that I exchanged with a client?

Follow Up Boss will only sync emails from the point in time that the email is connected. We do not sync past emails at this time.

Is there a way to only have emails that are connected to people in Follow Up Boss to show up in my inbox? I have all emails showing up here & then after a while it says I always have an unread email when I don't.

You want to make sure that you do not have yourself in FUB as a test contact. If you do, it's going to think you're a lead and pull in all of your email communication outside of FUB.

What do I do to change the email address that I use to send emails through Follow Up Boss?

You can do that on your My Settings page (click your initials in the top right-hand corner of the page and select My Settings). On that page, you can click the "Disconnect" link next to your Connected Email, and then follow these steps to reconnect a different one: Connecting Your Email.

What do I do to connect an email account that is not Google or O365 to Follow Up Boss?

In the address bar at the top of your browser, you will have an address that starts with https://example.followupboss.com/2. Click behind the 2 and remove everything so you just have https://example.followupboss.com/. Then, click right after the forward slash and type in, settings/user#email, so your full URL should look something like https://example.followupboss.com/settings/user#email. This will take you through a special URL to where you can follow prompts for connecting any email account. Reach out to support@followupboss.com if you have any trouble accessing the URL, and we'd be happy to email your own special URL to access this page.

Will I lose past correspondence if I connect a different email account?

No! All correspondence will continue to be available in the contact/lead profile.

I have a user who is having a hard time connecting their email, would they need to reach out to Follow Up Boss directly?

Yes! It would be best to have that user reach out to Follow Up Boss directly. Feel free to have them call us at (855) 622-5311 or email us at support@followupboss.com.

Can I connect two email accounts to Follow Up Boss?

Follow Up Boss can only support one connected email, although our developers may roll out some enhancements to this in the future. Pick the address you use most, and if you do transition fully, we would be happy to help you get the other setup! :)

What does this warning mean when I am trying to connect my Gmail: Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail?

You'll want to proceed or click 'ok' when you get that message when connecting Google if you want to connect your Google email to Follow Up Boss. That will allow you to send/receive emails from your Google account from within Follow Up Boss. More on how this works is here: Connecting Your Email.

What does the hazard symbol next to an email mean?

That means that the email has become disconnected. Here is how you can reconnect: Re-connecting a Disconnected Email.
