Using Automations Calendar date triggers, you can automate reminders and communication based on important dates such as Deal Close Date, Birthday and Anniversary. Here's how it works:
First choose the Calendar Date Trigger:
Next, choose the date that you would like to act as the Trigger. You can choose from Deal Close Date (which is the Close Date marked on your Deals) or any of your Custom Date fields. Annual recurring dates will show in the list with the recurring icon as you see with Birthday:
Next, you will choose how far in advance you'd like the automation to trigger.
- If you choose "When Birthday is in 0 days", that means when the birthday is today. Use this option if you want to send an email on the day of a contacts Birthday.
- If you choose "When Birthday is in 7 days", that means when the birthday is 1 week out, the action plan will start. This is a good option if you want to set up a reminder to send out a handwritten card or schedule a card using AMcards
Last, choose your action plan. Your action plan includes steps to delay. So for example, if you want an email to be sent 7 days after the Close Date, set the trigger to "When Close Date is in 0 days" and set the first action plan set to delay by 6 days:
